America's 1-2 Punch
President Bush is and will be viewed as a hero. When you are a bold and courageous leader, making the very tuff decisions, you will tic off allot of folks for each tuff decision. Bush was that kind of leader. Now we have Obama coming in behind Bush, facing the terror threat and the Muslim culture. Obama is making the right moves to restore America's image in the Muslim world. We just may have two heroes back to back.
Obama said the U.S. had made mistakes in the past but "that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there's no reason why we can't restore that."
"During his presidency, former President George W. Bush gave several interviews to Al-Arabiya but the wars he launched in Iraq and Afghanistan prompted a massive backlash against the U.S. in the Muslim world."
This sequence of American Presidential leaders is the BAD-COP GOOD-COP routine, a dynamite, 1-2 punch.
I have goose pimples just now thinking of the long term consequences as the GLOBAL CONFLUENCE MARCHES ON!!!

But just like Hilter's Nazi Germany, and Stalin's Communistic Russia WERE BOTH GOOD THINGS, (as we learn from them what evil really looks like), BHO's full blown, AND I MEAN FULL BLOWN, venture in the socialism, will teach us Americans how stagnating is fiat money and its companion socialistic objectives, and in that, BHO is a very good thing for our children's education, though allot of people are going to loose big in the process, in advance of the coming GLOBAL TRADE WARS where capitalistic productivity will have a huge premium as the war machine substitute in the world power plays. BHO is here to teach us American a very good constructive lession of MONEY-CULTURE-POLITICS and social engineering, through, NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, as part of the social-econo-poltitical learning experience of man kind, during the assent of man. (Rush Limbalh failed to drive the point home, and why.)
On the international front, I do hope BHO succeeds, regardless of how the actions are spun to the public.
He is perfect to get the Russians on the global team, though I bet, with his socialism, he will tic off the Chinese BIG TIME!!

To Charles Krauthammer, et al.
To All,
Charles Krauthammer of Washington Post, and a regular guest on FOXNEWS, with Bret, is in my view THE BEST, ABSOLUTELY THE BEST, BAR NONE, commentator over all in the whole country. He stands tall over all.
Charles indicated that Obama should not use words which demean pass US adm actions. He indicated that 1) Russia went into Geogia, 2) Supports Iran, and 3) Threatened counter missiles in Eastern Europe, and that it was the Russian who have soured relations to the extent the relationship has "drifted" as characterized by Obama this day. Yes, demeaning of prior presidential acts is a bit unamerican, but I dont think Obama went that far, but rather made the SMART PLAY. Its called psycho-political-warfare, aka diplomacy.
I respectfully disagree with Charles. Russia has as much control in Iran as does the US, basically, and that is zippo, and Russia is fighting the islamofascists, as well. Putin is using the Iranian situation to provide an OIL PREMIUM, and retain its position as a neuclear provider with its REACTION AND POTENTIAL REPROCESSING BUSINESS, under UN AIEA compliance, but does supports some sanctions in place, and is basically letting the US do the heavy pressure there, so that Russia does not take the heat for most of that pressure. Russia is using the US in that way, in international political hard-ball, one of Putin's strengths. The US started placing missiles in Poland in an escalation, and Russia reacted accordingly. Does anyone recall the CUBAN missile crisis? Imagine if the Russians were to place missiles in the Bahamas on a Russian owned island within range of Washington DC. What would be the US reaction? Charles, maybe some duplicity? Actually, I find the Russian response to be rather mild, and are effectively begging the US to let them participate in the design and deployment of a comprehensive eastern EU missle shield.
The Georgians, if not sucker punching the Russians in Ossetia, at least initially equally moved in, and was equally involved in starting and waging the freakas there. Putin obviously was REACTING rather than planning an offensive, as Putin did not think it through, in going to the BTC pipeline and to deep into Georgia, in an apparent rage, rather than calculating the W.EU political impact re NATO admissions. The Georgians are equally at fault, in my view, just as US is in posting missiles within range of Moscow airpace is provocative.
I do not suppose that Russians are angles, as they act in self interest just like the US, and from their prespective, are clean, and from my perspective, act no different than the US in large measure.
The focus should be on the later part of the Bush administration.. These three issues raised by Krauthammer, while valid to some extent, misses the boat. What really happened, in my view, is that Bush directly attacked Putin personally, and made it personal, in so doing, vicariously attacked the VOTERS in Russia, in humilating the already soviet-scared humilated Russians, and attacked voter approved Putin control in Russia, MAKING IT PERSONAL, between Bush and Putin, and between Bush and the Russian people. Bush made it personal by directly attacking Putin's political controls in the face of 70% russian popularity. This personalization aspect dominates the so-called "drift" or chill in relations as characterized by Obama this day, in my view. Russia, like us, have self interests, and like us, act in their own best interest.
I do not see the "drift" comment by Obama as particularly offensive as demeaning as a loyal american, nor such drift irreparable, but accurately describes the Bush and Putin relationship in the last year of the Bush Administration.
Actually, I like it, think it SMART, to the extent that the Russians become confortable dealing with Obama, and the progress in relations that CAN NOW BE MADE. And besides, what is really wrong with using Bush as the whipping boy, as the real idea is to get Russia and US closer together, and on the same team, rather than protecting at all costs, Bush's legacy, as if devine perfection. Are we so perfect, we can not admit mistakes, or accurately characterize the state of affairs?
I will submit to Charles Krauthammer, that with his condemnation of Obama this day, he is making the same mistake as Bush. These Russians are like children, that is baby democrats feeling their way in the 21st century, and have a hurt pride, and a retarding strong man culture presently willingly accepting less than democractic ideals in pragmatic ways, and so, you have to show respect and politely psycho work them to get results, and OBAMA with Medvedev, was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.

Charles is living in a era gone by. Charles has his head stuck in constitutional 19th century America and determined foreign affairs of the 20th century. But we now live in the 21st century gutless socialistic America. Get with the program Charles, we have EVOLVED.
There is ONLY one possible hope for the US to recapture it's limited government founding father constitutional roots, and that is for Obama's recovery plans to fail miseriably, which I expect, to tank the intrinsicly worthless dollar to its instrinsic worth, ABSOLUTE ZERO, to wipe out foreign reserves in fiat dollars, making the rest of the world effectively pony up for US civilizing the world, to wipe out the national debt by note redemption in bullion, say at 5B$/oz, and return the US dollar to the gold standard, and hence, honest money, honest bugets, and with that, a return to self reliant libertarian capitalism.
Charles can poo poo Obama's rethoric in the EU, as if that is determinatives or a failure, when Obama is merely showing his true colors, RED, per the voters decisions, wanting that gutless godless socialism with a buddy-buddy foreign policy, but misses the real possibility, and that is for Obama to spend another 13T$, to collaspe the GOV/FED fiat money IRS Sickle and Hammer lock on the US, and then, and only then, do we Americans have a chance to become American again, and back to Charles' vision of what it means to be American.
The call should be to abolish the FED, IRS, and fiat money, rather than muzzling Obama socialistic colors, and from that fiat money collapse, will the US become special again, libertarian capitialists, rather than expecting Obama to be anything other than what he is, a communist, promoting on the world stage a gutless godless socialistic EU clone, aka SodomeSomemora Socialistic States of America.

Honest Lefties,
Some honest lefties say that the right has disdain for the progress into socialization of America, which is an accurate characterization. I enjoy their honesty, as least some guts to call it like it is. Lefties want socialism, and we hear you, and you are not alone, as more than half of Americans are in the leftist camp, and they represent the larger half of America today. I admire their honesty, their honest revealed love of the totalitarian take and give, and their buddy buddy with the world's socialists. I am glad there are a few honest people left on the left in this country, in stead of the farcical right, pretending to be conservative, or traditionalists, or libertarian.
We need not condemn the left, for being left of our the conservative left-of-center, as the lefties are at least honest with us and themselves. They like socialism, but to be PC SP civil with their sensitive left-of-center adversaries, they wont use that "socialist" word by and large, the "S" word, trying to let us righties down easy, but they nonetheleft, promote socialism in spades. Some socialists are much more honest, and like socialism, and yell it proudly. Most Americans have become socialists, though many wont say so, pretending of course, but at least some are honest with us, and like our socialism, that is not going to change, until the negative feedback in socialism, through a fiat money collapse, forcing a return, IF EVER, back to our traditional limited-government constitutional roots.
So, I would wish that all conservatives, who are now PC correct, being left-of-center anyway, rally around the KOMMIE PINKO presidential standard, and support OBAMA fully with his bail out, stimulus, social engineering and bankrupting of fiat dollar, because, until the soup lines come back, and people understand fully the folly of self-unreliant tax and spend socialization, our slide into decadence, will not stop. Poverty and Wealth are not crimes, but now we need much more poverty to reveal fully the limitations of socialism, from the trash heap of fail socialistic promises, to return to our constitutional limited government roots, with an abolishment of the FED/IRS/FIAT complex. The true socialist yells it proudly and is helping us all to get an education and a return to our limited government constitutional roots. We should be thankful for the societal education, though it will be a costly education.
GO BAMA!!!! and tax and spend us into fiat paper money dollar ruination!!!!! As only then, will we learn our original socialist sin, of 1913, and the creation of the FED bank, its fiat paper notes, and the enabling IRS thuggery.

It is one thing to buddy-buddy with the world socialists, to be nice, but another thing if led down the road of weakness and appeasement. So far, BHO has killed in pakiland, but has now DID NOTHING regarding the NK launch. I proposed shooting it down. IF BHO runs an appeasing foreign policy, (the jury is still out, but not looking good), matching his buddy-buddy bad-USA rethoric, then, the 1-2 dynamite punch may become a sock and slobber, and a dynamite 1-2 punch a failure as a surrender, as BHO lets our american dead die in vain and undoes the gains of Bush against dictators, totalitarians, and terrorists.
Jury is still out, but not looking good. There is a fine line between buddy-buddy firmness and appeasement, the former being civil yet firm, the later ruination. BHO has led us into monstrous socialism, and the people are starting to see it. If BHO couples this with an appeasing foreign policy, the republicans will be back in power, but will still be contaminated with the tax code incentive social engineering prospensities of the GOF/FED/IRS/FIAT totalitarian controls, and hence, WHO REALLY CARES who gets elected, as either way, its freedom denied from the unlimited government elitists cementing socialization in America, the USSSA.

If BHO can not translates his buddy-buddy demeaning of the Bush Adm and USA, into result in foreign affairs, taking out the nuvo NK IRAN nuke builders, or lets terrorism rise, then, all he has done is demean the USA's firm stances in foreign policy. Charles Krauthammer understands the concept of limited government and libertarian captialism as opposed to socialism and the left's reach for a new world order based in socialistic totalitarian controls.
Mr. Krauthammer, in my view, is a man of all ages, the best of the best, always focused in his commentary, consistent in his logic, and just stings the left in truth and wisdom, as viewed from american traditional values.
Conservatives, libertarians, and traditional americans never had a better friend or mouth peice, than charles, who stand head and shoulders over all others, in my view.

I actually love Obama's persona, as he is definitely charming, very intelligent, refreshingly articulate, and youthful. Dang I wish he was a right winger!!!
I to, tend to give BHO a pass, even at the G20 demeaning of America, while learning the ropes, and placating his base, but I am afraid, he has already busted any hope for saving the economy over the long run, and 5-10 year depression at 20% unemployment is already baked into the cake with the banskter bailouts for years to come, and that will get him booted in 2012. I only hope that he does not irreparably damage our national defense or national sovergnty before then.
It is to late for him to turn back the 13T$ of reckless socialistic spending, and he will add another 13T$ before he gets booted in 2012 for sure, as "team purple" of independents will turn the tide back.
I told the DNC not to run Kerry, as a anti-intel arms war guy at a time of war was a loser.
I told the RNC not to run McCain, as Dole proved a moderate republican can not win.
Maybe in 2012, the RNC may just wise up and run a hard-right conservative and win, in a photo-finish with a moderate democrat outing Obama for the re-run. That is the way I see it going down, with congress back in RNC hands come the 2010 elections.
What is really really sad in my eyes, is that our first black president is a hard-left socialist coming in with a financial mess, and not knowing any better, tanks the US economy for years to come with reckless spending, and is thus discreditied. I really wanted him, our first black president to succeed as a moderate, but those hopes are now gone.
