Obama Corrupted Lincoln's Legacy,

OReilly Quoted Obama's speech in part: "we dont have to sacrifice our values to protect ourselves". OReilly said he needed to chew on that for 24 hours. OReilly sees the value of harsh interrogation where massive potential murder is in play, and rightly so, I agree completely.  

But OReilly did not go for the throat re OBAMA's naive assertion. Just recall that REPUBLICAN President Lincoln became the emulated front man for the Obama DC fly in. Yet, Lincoln did not emancipate the slaves because of slavery itself, the inherent evil of it, as he often said, he would save the Union if he could without freeing a single slave. Lincoln only emancipated slaves in enemy held rebel territory as a WAR MEASURE to perfect saving the Union, as he was NOT THE GREAT EMANCIPATOR, though he is remembered for it, but was rather responsible for saving the Union, which is not what he is most remembered for.  

To drive this point home, for Mr. OReilly, because he misses the boat, citizens of the US were routinely thrown in jail, without hearing, without trial, indefinitely, without writ of Habeous Corpus rights by Sec of War Staton with Lincoln's full approval. Lincoln sacraficed values for the good of the nation, at war time. If OReilly was OREILLY ON-IT, he would have pointed out the inherent farcical nature of Obama's DC Fly in and hugging of the Lincoln memorial.  

But who really cares about history, most of Obama's followers enjoy conveniently rewriting it.

The Historical Context.  

In 1862, things were not going well for the Union Cause. In May 62, Stonewall Jackson defeated three superior union armies in the Shenandoah, under Banks, Fremont, and Sigal (of Burnside), in superb strategical and tactical fashion. In June 62, Bobby Lee pushed back McClellan's superior 110K army away from the gates of Richmond made only to be then sidelined and made irrelevant on the James River. In the New Mexico Territory Sibly had advanced on and captured Sante Fe and Albuquerque. Loring in West Virginia marched on and captured Charleston WV, while a cavalry raids reach and crossed the Ohio River. In northern Mississippi Bragg gave Halleck the slip, and in excellent logistics, moved his army to Chattanooga, and Bragg's army then march through middle TN with a victory Mudfordville, and into KY threatening Louisville and Cincinnati. Kirby Smith recaptured Cumberland Gap, defeated Bull Nelson at Richmond KY, and recaptured Frankfurt and Lexington KY. Bobby Lee turned his famed Army of Northern Virginia north and in grand strategic style and excellent tactics smashed Pope at 2nd Bull Run, and Bobbly Lee was at the gates of Washington DC reaching Chantilly and Falls Church VA and then set his eyes on Hagerstown in his Maryland invasion eyeing Philadelphia and Baltimore, as they sang My-Maryland My-Maryland. Van Dorn and Price made strikes at Iuka and Corinth MS while Grant's Army was being divided up in a desparate attempt to stop the confederate army two prong TN advance by Van Dorn-Price and Bragg-K.Smith, with Buell withdrawing from Nashville TN, rapidly toward the Ohio to try to save Louisville KY.  

The Summer and Early Fall of 1862 was a dark time for the Union cause mostly because of Lincoln's inept hands-on generalship of the Union Forces. (The senator's Biden great-great grandfather was blame-gaming Lincoln the whole time, while Reid's great-great grandfather of the democratic copperheads said the war was lost with rising dissention in the northern press that in the tank for the democrats, defaming Lincoln as the original gorilla, stating often, the cause of was lost, -just kidding about Biden-Reid!). England was considering joining France in recognizing the South, but waited for the outcome of Bobby Lee's and McClellan's battle at Antietam. To put it mildly, the North had it's back up against the wall, with the Jacobean wing of the Republican party up in arms demanding freeing of the slaves, which Lincoln would not do. Lincoln would not do it, less 50K northern rifles would be thrown down in disgust in MO and KY, then loyal union slave states. Lincoln wrote his famous emancipation declaration, which only freed slaves in enemy held territory, to help deny the southerners of their slave labor, but which in practical reality, had little or no affect. Hence, slaves in MO, KY, TN, DE, WV, and MD were not freed by Lincoln thereunder, and slaves in the rebel held south remained in bondage. Lincoln did not free any slaves whatsoever when issuing the emancipation declaration. Lincoln shocked the cabinet with his war measure proposal. Sec. of War Staton, I believe, said that if you Lincoln release it, it would sound like the last gasp of the dying nation, and Lincoln held off issuing the emancipation declaration. When Bobby Lee finally strategically withdrew from MD after his tactical defensive victory at Antietam, only then, did Lincoln dare issue his war measure. Lincoln's emancipation declaration freed no slaves, and, merely placated the rebellious Jacobeans for political reasons. Lincoln was a political animal, but as general in chief, an absolute failure, and issued the emancipation declaration, in desparation, as a war measure for political purposes, and freed no slaves.  

Lincoln was not the great emancipator for which he is known, and is not generally known for saving the union, which he did, when he finally put GENERAL BETRAYUS in charge (Grant).

Bill OReilly,  And what this missive really does, is draw parallels between Bush and Lincoln. Both won a war, and taking down Saddam in only 3 weeks was a great FIRST MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Both eventually liberated millions, and were both were habitually defamed by the screeching democrats, THE WAR IS LOST!!!! Bush is a true American hero, and will eventually become to be known as one, in time, just like Lincoln. Had Bush been asassinated like Lincoln, Obama may have been hugging the BUSH memorial in stead.

Obama needs a history lession and quick. General BETRAYUS understood the dispersive strongholds in defeating an insurgency during a surge to VICTORY, whereas General GRANT THE BUTCHER understood the calculus of attrition of numbers during the VA overland campaign, to VICTORY. Both are honorable men, doing their duty, for GOD and COUNTRY.  

The lefties have, IMO, demeaned our honorable generals and my BELOVED PRESIDENT BUSH, unfairly so.  

OK OBAMA, bring us all together as one nation!
